- Know the mean and normal range for menopause
- Describe the characteristic patterns of the hot flush and likely
cause.
- Recognize the reason for incorporating a progestin with hormone
replacement therapy in women with a uterus.
- List the common urogenital complaints seen in women during menopause.
- List common risk factors associated with osteoporosis.
- Discuss the mechanism whereby estrogen inhibits bone loss. Describe
other strategies to prevent osteoporosis.
- Describe and contrast the presentation of Lichensclerosis and squamous
cell hyperplasia of the vulva.
- Discuss the incidence and mechanism for the development of pelvic
prolapse.
- Sexual Function
- Contrast the physiologic changes in sexual function observed with
aging between males and females.
