  1. Gynecological Disorders in Menopause

    1. Know the mean and normal range for menopause
    2. Describe the characteristic patterns of the hot flush and likely cause.
    3. Recognize the reason for incorporating a progestin with hormone replacement therapy in women with a uterus.
    4. List the common urogenital complaints seen in women during menopause.
    5. List common risk factors associated with osteoporosis.
    6. Discuss the mechanism whereby estrogen inhibits bone loss.  Describe other strategies to prevent osteoporosis.
    7. Describe and contrast the presentation of Lichensclerosis and squamous cell hyperplasia of the vulva.
    8. Discuss the incidence and mechanism for the development of pelvic prolapse.

  2. Sexual Function
    1. Contrast the physiologic changes in sexual function observed with aging between males and females.
